Esse Landcapes were engaged to construct a large self-contained pool area and pool house adjoining this historic Sussex cottage.

Based on initial proposals by JB Architects, we provided a more detailed layout and constructed a stunning L-shaped swimming pool and substantial pool house. As well as generous paved terraces and a path network, the pool area includes a water feature, a kitchen & barbecue terrace and a petanque court, together with sympathetic planting.

The pool house features exposed oak trusses, full oak cladding and a heritage tiled roof. Internally, it has a living area with kitchen, bedroom/office, bathroom and utility room.

For efficiency, the pool incorporates a solar-gain automatic cover. Additional heating is provided by an air source heat pump.

The whole area is lit at night, to provide a stunning backdrop to the house.
